Rudolf Schloen

1917: January 13, born in Bremen
1931/35: Painting apprenticeship in Bremen, trade school with Prof. A. Scharfschwerdt
1935/37: Journeyman in the painting trade
1939/45: Military service (Sicily and Crete)
1947/49: Studies at the University of Design in Bremen with Prof. Willy Menz (Graphics) and Prof. Gustav Adolf Schreiber (Painting)
1949/50: Member of the Bremer Künstlerbund eV, in the working group "The Sail", set designer -Volontär at the Theater of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen under Mr. Vehser, Dusseldorf
From 1950: Freelance painter and graphic artist in Bremen. Regular collaboration as an illustrator with the leading daily newspapers in Bremen (including Weser Kurier). In addition, graphic design for various companies. Study trips to Italy and France enabled further advances in painting and attracted various exhibitions.
1960/62: Head of the Atelier Arkenberg (Atelier für Markenwerbung), Bremen
1963/82: Art teacher at the secondary school Lüchow (district Lüchow - Dannenberg)
1999: September 23rd died in Kolborn (district Lüchow - Dannenberg)
